News from F100 HQ

The 2016 World Championship will be held in Lonato Italy.

There will be 2 prices.
One for race entry only.
One for race entry and kit transportation.

Planning to do the first F100 British Champship round a weekend before this event. That way after that race the kit gets loaded up into a truck and will leave for Italy.

We see this as the most cost effective and easiest way of doing things.

More details will be updated soon.

F100 would like to thank 360 Motorsport for sponsoring the Lydd World Championships trophies.

360 Motorsport is a motorsport prep company started by Lionell Puddle and his drive to go racing,
The work they carry out is from full car preparation to engine building, parts and track support. They have looked after lots of different types of cars from GT3 997 to Karts at LGM and club level.
The main drive is to have a fully operational race team offering karts to cars.

On our kart program they can offer engine building, chassis preparation and storage and track support from their awning.

The company has been running for 4 years but Lionell himself has been involved in karting from a young age, and motorsport for over 10 years.

F100 Round 1 Hooton Park – 12/4/2015

F100 performs infront of Ellesmere Port crowd

F100 kicked off the season at the tight and twisty circuit of Hooton Park! With the increasing interest and rising popularity in the 'retro' series big things were predicted and the organisation did not disappoint. Plenty endured the blustery winds and sideways rain to gather on the grassy banking and behold the first 100cc 'proper karting' spectacle of the year.

Pre 2000 heat 1 saw a dry race, with last years championship winner Oliver Scullion sitting on pole next to David Hogg. Oliver lead from the get go, pulling out a gap. Unfortunately for him he went out with a technical problem on lap 5 leaving David to inherit the lead and taking it to the chequered flag, pulling a handsome gap to Oliver Smith and Neil Mckernan.

In heat 2 there was a close battle early on at the front with Nicky Taylor eventually leading the pack. Nicky however came off the circuit on lap 4 putting himself out of contention and leaving it up to Paul Warrener to take it to the chequered flag. Behind him David Hogg came through from 20th on the grid into 2nd avoiding the last lap scrap for 3rd which saw R Whightman come true.

Heat 3 saw some typical English karting conditions: sideways rain. This however didn't seem to unsettle pole man and leader from heat 1 Oliver Scullion. He drove through the hectic conditions from 12th on the grid to the front, taking the lead after the competitor he was challenging suffered a technical. Oliver pulled out a 3+ sec gap come the finish line to Arran Maile and Matt Martin who took it to the very end with a gap of just under a second seperating them.

Heat 4 saw wet conditions greet the grid yet again. Early on at the front the order was established with no major challenges, but further down the pack heat 3 winner Oliver Scullion was making tracks again. He pushed through from all the way back in 23rd to take the lead! Aaron Stroud followed with the consistent runner Neil Mckernan not far behind.

Heat 5 ended a little better for Aaron, he started 4th pushing through a tight early battle at the front to then slowly pull out a gap to those behind him. As the race went on he was reeled back in by previous challengers Neil Mckernan and David Hogg, but they couldn't make the move and both finished closely behind in 2nd & 3rd.

The final hosted early successor David Hogg on pole while consistent runner Neil Mckernan lined up next to him. The circuit was still wet come the start and this seemed to become the deciding factor in the challenge for the front. 4th place man Arran Maile battled past 3rd & 2nd to then reel in the leader. Arran took the lead off of David pulling out a decent gap leaving David in 2nd place infront of Neil, who again kept it correct and consistent in 3rd

In the Pre 95 Heat 1 race the getaway was clean and racing hard. The front 3 were only separated by a second and a half come the chequered, with fastest lap man Chris Griffin taking the victory over James Brobbin and Gareth Nicolai.

Heat 2 was dominated by Martyn O'Hara who finished a good 15+ seconds to his closet rival Joe Scorey in 2nd and a lapped James Bailey.

Heat 3 had fastest lap Heat 2 man make up for his DNF in the previous heat by beating Richard Hollis & James Brobbin to the victory with a healthy 7+ sec lead.

Heat 4 introduced a new winner to the podium, Joe Scorey took it in with the rest of them pushing the pre 2000 boys to the line. He finished infront of fellow pre 95 competitors Matt Martin and Nicolas Taig.

Heat 5 again had Joe at the front of the pack, miles ahead of the next best Pre 95 kart, he even reeled in Pre 2000 leader Arran Stroud for good measure equalling another convincing victory, Richard Hollis and Reece Mcilwraith followed.

The Final saw the dominant Joe Scorey line up on pole next to Matt Martin 41. Joe led from a close start, inching away from Matt to take the victory. Both Joe and Matt left the rest of the grid in their wake after coming across the line 0.30 secs apart. Chris Griffin came in 3rd.
